Weekly Motivation
Great day with lessons, thank you for coming out today everyone!
Tips for the week - TEE WORK
Whenever taking swings off a tee, don't just swing over and over...instead act like it's a real at bat. Take every swing with focus and determination
Step 1. Step in near the tee like it's home plate and the batter's box. Dig your feet in, get your hands ready, whatever gets you ready for an at-bat.
Step 2. Look in front of you and imagine a pitcher on the mound(close your eyes if that helps picturing the opponent).
Step 3. Take a swing as if you are seeing the ball leaving the pitcher's hand.
Step 4. Step back from tee, take a second, and repeat steps 1-3.
The purpose of tee work is to work on your swing to build muscle memory. It's not a rush to take swings, but instead a chance to work on the swing for the big game. I'd rather take my time and do 20-40 great quality swings over rushing through 80-100 with no focus and possibly having poor form.
Quote for the week- "Take every moment in practice as if it was a real game, if you do, games will feel easier like your everyday practice!"
